Do you want to submit a motion to the meeting?
The annual general meeting is FEKIS’s highest decision-making body and an important place for discussions and decisions about the association’s activities, priorities and future direction. As a member of FEKIS, you can submit motions to the annual general meeting.
A motion is a proposal for something you want the association to take a position on or work on further. This can be about FEKIS’s operations, organization and development, but also about issues related to business administration as a subject and education and research in Sweden.
The board welcomes members’ motions and sees them as an important way to contribute ideas, commitment and influence. By submitting a motion, you are helping to develop FEKIS as an academic and professional association.
You are welcome to submit motions no later than August 15th to fekis@fekis.se.
How do you write a motion?
A motion is a clear proposal for the meeting to consider and decide on. The meeting must be able to vote YES or NO to your proposal.
If you instead have something you want to discuss where no decision can/shall be made by the meeting, it is fine to propose a discussion point under “Övrigt”. No motion is needed for discussions, but you are welcome to inform the board that you wish to add an “övrigt” point.
The motion does not need to be long, but it must:
- have a heading that states what the motion is about
- have a background description that explains the need/motive for the motion
- contain the concrete proposal you want the AGM to decide on, formulated so that the members at the meeting can vote YES or NO to your proposal.
- contain your name and contact information.
- be received by the board no later than August 15th at fekis@fekis.se.
